Tower Study

Year: 2015

In this tower, it is the interior organization of circulation and spatial voids that creates a variety of different kinds of spaces for different levels. This winding and continually changing circulation path (which is also the primary structure of the building) creates a pattern of spaces unique to each floor. Complementing the vertical and horizontal movement of the circulation, the large diamond-shaped voids create a continuity of space that unites the different floors of the tower.

In this project the façade is not “designed” as a separate surface– it is merely the result of the internal complexities and the movement of people, program, and activities that result from it as seen through a layer of glass.
